The Breakspoll 2010 line up has been announced, and there are some heavy names involved this year, with a lot of back to back and vs performances! You'd never see this line up at a festival, so make sure you buy your breakspoll tickets as it's gonna be a roadblock (as all the kids are saying these days)!

With the voting well and truly underway for Breakspoll 2010, a few people have mailed me asking who I would recommend voting for. This is such a hard, hard decision, especially with how busy breakbeat has been this year, but my money's gotta be one the following options:
Preparing You DJ Mixes For The Internet
There's nothing worse than downloading a mix from someone off the internet called mixdown_rendered_v2.mp3. It'll at best sit on my hard drive until I get the time to play it and try and guess who the fuck did it, let alone what tracks are on the mix or at worse be deleted along with my temp files. Additional to that, you upload it to your MP3 player and it disappears quicker than a fart in a hurricane!I'm here to tell you it doesn't have to be this way, using a few free tools on the internet and Photoshop you could make the difference from your mix temporarily living on my desktop to being archived and stuck on my pod/car! This tutorial will not deal with podcasting, mastering, finalising mixes or discuss what's better, MP3 or vinyl, just explain how to prepare your fresh phat mix for upload.

Breakspoll 2009 Lineup
Every year there is a prestigious awards ceremony for all the players inside the breakbeat arena; Breakspoll. This awards ceremony tips its hat to all the movers and shakers who in the last 12 months have helped push the breaks scene forward. It's a bit like the Oscars for breaks, but with out all the blubbing, nice dresses and equal boy to girl guest ratio!

You most probably got up this morning, late as usual and went into the kitchen to make a cup of tea or coffee. If you had time put, you probably put some bread in the toaster and waited three minutes for it to do it's magic.
